Departure from the Crocetta car park with headlamps on, a silent climb through the holm-oak wood and arrival at the summit a few minutes before sunrise. It is the most requested excursion on the calendar, for one precise reason: from the top, with the light coming from the east, the Pontine plain turns from blue to gold in ten minutes.
The guide leads the group along the equipped trail, with stops at the viewpoints and an account of the promontory’s geology. Return is planned for mid-morning, descending the northern slope.
Required: hiking boots, windproof jacket, headlamp, one and a half litres of water. Not suitable for children under twelve. Minimum eight participants.
