The place
Coastal cave on the Circeo promontory, reachable only by sea, part of the system of karst cavities on the western side, among the least accessible and least visited in the whole cave complex of Mount Circeo.
After the Bombardieri beach, or Cala di Moresca, a small cove with limestone pebbles where you can land when the sea is calm, this cave opens on the eastern side. It is a distinctive cavern made up of two superimposed spaces connected by a roughly circular opening. When the weather is settled and the sea allows, it is an extremely pleasant place to land. A few metres further on is the evocative Grotto of the Sorceress Circe.
